Prom paying etiquette?
Hello everyone. So my senior prom is next weekend. I’m so excited because I have the perfect date. I’m just a little confused about the etiquette. I asked him and he accepted. I purchased my own ticket today, thinking that he will pay for his own ticket ($60 each). Since we’re not dating or anything, I figured this was ok. Also I will be driving us to the prom. Now the thing I’m concerned about is pictures. The picture packages are separate, and rather costly, around $80-$50. Should I split this with him also or just let him pay if he offers? He goes to my school also, so it’s considered both of our proms. And the whole preparation for prom, (him buying his own tux, ticket, my corsage, etc.) is pretty much set. So what is the proper etiquette? Thank you for advice!
I would just have this conversation with him and I think you will have a better understanding of what he thinks and you will have your say of input as well. Just call him or see him and say well, we need to decide about the money we will need for the prom and ask what he thinks about each thing. This will get the ball rolling and make you feel better and not so anxious this week. You want to have fun at the prom and not worry about all that stuff. So the sooner you talk to him the better.
